Burton & District Cycling Alliance

The BDCA is a loose grouping of around 30 clubs, including Derby Mercury, centred on Burton and covering the region from roughly Walsall up to Matlock. The BDCA runs several events of its own including a 2-up and a hill climb. The biggest competition though is an Open BAR run along the same lines as the club's own Senior BAR. The one difference though is that only designated events count and that at least one counting ride must be a BDCA event. The 2010 BAR counting events are listed below...

This series has been running for several seasons now and is based upon a rider's best 5 results from 8 designated events. The 5 rides must include a 25. A link to the series standings can be found on Leicester Forest CCs website. There are series awards and prizes for under and over 50 categories and also clubs with 3 riders counting in each event. The counting riders can differ between events.
