This is an annual team competition between several of the local clubs. The current clubs involved are Derby Mercury RC, South Peninne RC, Mercia CC and Heanor Clarion although the clubs have varied slightly over the years.
A trophy is awarded to the club with fastest total time on the day for five riders over 25 miles. Each club can field as many riders as they like with the five fastest finishers counting, riders don't therefore have to be nominated before the start. There is also a trophy for the fastest individual rider.
