The 2008 club hill climb was run in miserable wet conditions on Sunday 5^th October on Pistern Hill, followed as usual by the Freewheel competition. Mark Shardlow ran out winner on the way up with Lee Blades, bidding for the freewheel trophy for a record fourth year running, only managing second place this year.

For those who don't know Pistern Hill is just south of the exit from Calke Abbey. The start is by the entrance driveway to the craft and garden centre at Staunton Harold on the road heading to Ashby de la Zouch. The club run will be leaving as usual at 9am for a group ride out to the start.
